Shane's a dick. OSA employee's were smoking crack during the last "review" for this punk.

He's the real deal. You're just dissing him because you didn't "believe" the OSA hype (and you sent him out of town for an aging Derrick Tucker). How's that working out for you btw?

But here he is, batting .300+ on the year, and hitting for power. He kind of reminds me of another kid you traded me, SS Marco Lona. Not a top prospect but OSA thinks he's good, then all of a sudden, pop. I'm not predicting stardom, but a really good player. Next up, the D.J. Daniel story.

I commend you for saving these players. Amazing how they respond to a "healthy" organization.

He actually came from Davenport. Then we changed his stance at the plate. The rest is history. Guess we will see if the Dino's can take him the rest of the way.

Nope. Funclown exclusively teaches the "Jefferson Lift." to all his young men.

Next on "BLB Secrets Exposed".... Does Denver encourage the use of marihuana during games and is its team actually a front for one the largest pot distribution networks in the US?

We don't talk about the use of illegal legal drugs in the clubhouse. No comment.

-Here comes another favorite for me, 23-year old Bolivian prospect Gil Ortiz. Ortiz was selected in the 8th round by the New York (Mississippi) organization in 2000.

After showing signs of talent his first year (.259 batting average but a .377 OBP) and battling injuries his 2nd, Ortiz exploded in 2002 going on to be selected to his first All-Star game and winning the Single A WL Outstanding Hitter Award. Ortiz was promoted to Lexington (AA) following last season and has somehow managed to hit BETTER in AA and was selected for his second minor league All-Star game.

Gil feels like he's ready to be in the BLB and I'm inclined to believe him.

                            Honorable Mention:
D.J. Daniel (OF)- Fort Lee Generals (AA)
Pat Fisher (SP)- Myrtle Beach Shorebirds (AA)

-Our final Award winner for 2003, OOTP 12, and a potential "One Man's Trash" inductee, Ayala has all the makings of a late round star. Initially selected in the 5th round of the 2000 draft by the Dinos, Ayala was unimpressive in relief and subsequently cut in January of 2001 by the Dinos organization. Like almost every other prospect in the BLB, John made a brief stop in the Washington organization but never pitched in a game as he was cut by Washington before the season started.

Midway through 2001, Ayala received a call from the Freedom with an offer for a minor league contract. Not overly impressive in 2001, the Freedom have stuck with the young Dominican and have reaped the rewards from patience. At the beginning of this year, Ayala was pegged as a Top 100 prospect and with a bit of seasoning, may turn out to be a championship caliber pickup by Philly.

                                BLB Potential Comparison:
                                R.J. Curtis (NO)
