Sorry about the delay. I took SP T.J Roper. I'm lacking in young starters and my scout liked him well enough. Decent stats too.

Can gamble a little when you're the Champ...
Virginia select Bill Bonilla (MR) out of the Dominican Republic. Best case... gets that 3rd pitch and become dominant. Worst case, he's a MR who can give you innings as soon as next season. Always like to keep the cabinet full of these guys when our bullpen starts pricing themselves off the team. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

Went with 3B Tom Folger.
Last real bat I see that might make an impact. Plays solid defense at third and should hit for decent gap power.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Finally got our first pick at 2.18 and went with Ian Reynolds, LF from Stanford.
Guy has elite power, but strikes out a ton. Should develop some patience and walk about 80-90 times to go with the 125+ K's. Wont make much contact, but hopefully he'll make enough. Pretty good in the field too, with a cannon arm.

And with the 53rd selection of the 2000 BLB Draft, the Bulldogs select:
Jimmy Whitworth (SP), Clemson Tigers
West Palm Beach, Florida
-As always, the Bulldogs value guys who can sit batters down and Whitworth fits that mold. A four year starter for the Tigers, scouts say that Jimmy already approaches the game like a real professional and possesses all of the traits you'd like to see in young guy. Physically, Whitworth has pretty good stamina allowing him to stay effective late in games and 4 average to above average pitches.
Whitworth did end 1999 with a tough injury, but didn't seem to lose much putting up similar career numbers in 2000 in 10 starts. His biggest areas of improvement will be learning to add a bit more movement to his pitches and learning a bit more control, hopefully enough to become a 4/5 starter at the BLB level.Last edited by Delandis; 01-25-2013, 09:36 PM.
