    Yet we're #24!

1-5...didn't expect anything more. I guess the joy I get now is watching the young talent hopefully develop. Right now it looks like we should have some good pitching in a few seasons but we have nothing the way of hitters. Hopefully over the next few seasons we can restock the cupboards in that department.

I took over a crappy expansion team, built them through FA and trades, and now we're crappy again. At least this time I can try and build a solid base through the draft and not mortgage the future like I had to before. Well anyways that's the plan.

I'm curious how that happens exactly. Did the system vote Denver out of the league?

Is the team -12 of a league average of 0? With 0 being BLB level. So, would this team be equivalent to AAA status?

Hilarious. It's easy to not care when there's no reason to care.

I actually thought he was a pretty decent pitcher. Its hard to tell sometimes playing at Windy City where the infield grass is 6" tall and few can hit.

I read in the forums that teams built have inherited "bonus" and obviously some with "penalties" built within an organization. I always thought it had more to do with the staduim than anything else. (Example: Pawtucket staduim batting average for lefties is weighted at .837, THIS WILL BE DEALT WITH IN 2001)

Regardless, is there any truth to this??

Is that why Hai-feng Goei had a career low ERA and first career all star appearance the year after he left us?

Or why DeWitt Pierce is usually better on the road?

Just rambling. Maybe later I'll research the OOTP 12(13?) thread that was talking about teams having individual bonuses / penalties.(Hitting/ pitching, ect)

Anyway I thought it was sort of malarky, but since I wasnt here in the beginning was curious.

I always assumed it was more staduim related for any trends that seem to occur.

I didn't get alot of time spend on the BLB today since I was in meetings all morning.

I'm not too sure about this. I think there may be a bonus/ penalty based on organizational performance over time, but I'm not too sold on anything related to an inherent team bonus/penalty outside of stadium configuration.

I believe that Funclown (well not him personally) is proposing that there may be some type of inherent penalty/bonus based soley on a team "identity." i.e.: Baltimore was created as an offensive team and therefore gets a hitting bonus for batting and/or a penalty for pitching. At least that's what I'm getting from the post.

What I'm saying is, it seems to me that it may be harder for teams that lose consistently to break that cycle of losing, even with the consistent addition of above-average players. While teams that have a history of winning tend to play 'above their heads' more often.n

                            Okay. I understand.

I just don't know how the game would decide something like that.

Maybe tie it to a some type of continuous summation of individual moral of the team?

Just making a guess here. Although I feel like we talked about this before and maybe that's where my "guess" came from.
