Clowns in Mourning After Death of Morgan Child
Tuesday, March 14th, 2000: Sad news out of Indianapolis today. Jerry Morgan has left the team indefinitely after the sudden passing of his child. When pressed for comment, Clowns manager Cisco Thamas said: "Jerry is obviously very shaken by this, and he has already left for home to be with his family and tend to the business he needs to take care of. I told him to take all the time he needs. He will give a statement when he's ready to return. We're planning on being there for him and his family at some point in the next couple of days."

Pawtucket 9-6. Its like a pack of wild dogs. If one is mean they all will be mean.

Anyway we take spring training with a grain of salt, but it is nice to see some of our future kids play well (Prospects Vaccarella, Quinn and former prospect Saucedo)

With that, I don't except to see any of those guys on the opening day roster with maybe Saucedo getting his first BLB action this summer. Either way, nice to see the kids can play.

His son's name was Clay. It was a tribute to Jerry's hero.

Yes, its still preseason but the Pilsner results are still shameful.

Letting Denver think they are actually any good. Get it together, Clowns.

Danny Rodriquez Makes His Pitch... Selling Cars!
Monday, March 20th, 2000: Why is Danny Rodriquez suddenly so popular around his hometown? Might have something to do with his radio and TV sales pitch for a local car dealership that has taken the city by storm. Viewers can't seem to pin down what exactly it is about the Baltimore player that is so endearing, but Rodriquez now has a cult following in town. "I've never sold cars in my life. To be perfectly honest, they probably just wanted a team member that fit in their price range", Rodriquez said with a hearty laugh. "I've always been that kind of guy, and I thought it was something fun to do with some free time. I'm big on supporting local businesses, too."

                        Unsurprisingly, Rodriquez's hometown: Toluca, Mexico.

We went with mostly minor league pitching this time around so we could see what they were capable of. Nice showing.
