Washington shelled out the big bucks for Sasaki.

I got Metcalf. Happy about that. Good value.

Like the Metcalf signing. He gets it done. I wanted him back, if nothing else than to get something for him. Oh well, it wasn't to be.

              Don't get 20 mill/yr for Sasaki.

Metcalf will start the year in the pen as of now, but who knows where he'll end up. A couple million for a good left-handed reliever who can throw a couple innings and also be a capable starter is a good deal for me.

I thought someone would wait for Sasaki. I let him hit free agency last offseason too because he wanted almost $20M to re-sign, but I lowballed him with a one year $8M offer in the second or third free agency sim, and he took it.

In hindsight, I wish I had slapped a $10M team option on it. He can still pitch.

Tons of money... bad team... no chance he picks up the option... He's buying a sandwich pick for next season.

If that's what Pat was trying to do, he would have gotten better value signing a guy with higher popularity and who isn't a serious threat to retire after the season.

I don't think Kinsey is lacking offers. He'll work this season.

I see Denver is shelling out the big bucks for a handful of minor leaguers.
