...oh... and one more thing for everyone...
PLEASE... PLEASE... don't be mistaken... contrary to the widely accepted belief... I hold ZERO value to my success in this game/league. I don't think it makes me better. I don't think it makes me smarter. I have 10 Stout Championships and 6 Brewmaster's.... from them I have earned.... ZERO dollars... ZERO additional length or girth in my penis.... ZERO sexual favors.... ZERO job offers.... I've signed ZERO autographs.... and I've had ZERO "moments" with my kids where they told me how they were going to be better off as adults because of the Colonial's run....
I lost last year...
California and Los Angeles are both better teams this year...
Yet, I'm the same douchebag who spouts off about how great his players are (just like we all do)
Why? Because that's who I was when I was winning 60 games and drafting the likes of Yan van Adel.... that's how I was during the Woodbury reign.... and that's how I'll be in 3 years when it all comes crashing down again. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

2) I sincerely apologize if you were offended. It's my character here. How people run their team is their business. It's ball busting.
3) Please... don't ever let anything stop you from "going there".
You made it more than ball busting when you responded with your mediocrity comment. So no I'm not gonna lighten up when you initiated where this has gone.
You want to act like you were just kidding. Clay, please cut your crap. You weren't kidding. I know you really believe there's some fucking pedestal you stand on because you've won a lot of championships and it gives you the right to say stupid crap like "sure, if you're fine with mediocrity."
That air of arrogance is insulting.
Don't disrespect my intelligence by trying to sweep it under the rug and pretend you were ball busting. The Morgan comment is ball busting. The Clinton administration is bull busting. The mediocrity comment was not.
As for going there, it's already going there and I have no problem having this go longer if you'd like.

Clay said I made questionable trades for Sanchez and Knight and you see how that's worked out for us.
Edit: Whoa. I just thought this was shit on Clay for fun hour.

Wow, so many comments since I made my original post.
Pawtucket 3-4. Again, noble effort is all I ask.
Speaking of noble effort, COME ON WILMINGTON!!! Lets get some wins. (You also Syracuse)
Artie Stewart is having a quite a season so far (16hrs / .303 ave/ .990 OPS) in 198 ab bats. Briefly had a 5 for contact then fell to 4 after his injury. Wonder after the rescout if his contact comes back.
One of my young pitchers might already be up. Andy Mendez got his first starts this season and since a 7+ may his era has gone down each month. Another Pawtucket late bloomer pitcher actually hit the OSA top 100 a month before he turned 26. Has a Cosio like feel to him. Might be a #4,#5 eventually for our projected future rotation
Fans are still coming, but we had to drop our price to $14.80. Oh well.
Not much else to say except if we were to draft today, might be a impact bat. 4 of our top prospects are pitcher right now. Would be nice if one could pop into the top 20 someday.Last edited by funclown; 12-12-2012, 12:16 PM.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS

That mediocrity comment is what this is about and nothing more. I still think its a bs thing to say and yes I'm calling Clay out on it no matter how hard he wants to hide under the "I really don't care" umbrella he paints.

The mediocrity post came as a second post to my original comment and your response. It was hung on a comment about being .500... which... pretty much by definition would say mediocrity....
Again... it's a character.
I've spoken with people here on the phone.
People here see my posts on Facebook.
Some may even read my BLOG.
Hell... a lot of them see me in the other leagues on this site.
I'm not that guy.
I have titles in the NCFA... that's not how I post over there.
This is my BLB persona.
I like trying to be entertaining...
Well, the persona in the BLB that I find funny has always been this one.
Search it up. I made the same posts about Jimmy O'Loughlin and Delmar Oyos that I make about Jerry Morgan and Gus Jenkins.
It's being an extreme HOMER... a Fan... a Sports Radio caller...The Great One!

Might even make a trade or two with a couple guys in their last year. Maybe someone bites. If not, that's okay. It's a process I'm working on here.
I think my window is larger than two years. The point of what I'm doing is to not have a window. Sure, it's a window with my current roster, but I have money to add more pieces later and if I can continue to make my owner happy, and please the fans, I can raise ticket prices and raise my budget.
It's not like I'm sitting here settling for mediocrity like some people seem to think.Denver Bulls
