Sure, Chavez was an average/below average defensive SS at best... but there are so few SS in this league that can hit... I went with getting maximum bats on the field. Oh... and the 5 years he got over 100 starts at SS... we won 4 titles. That's a a great Masquerade. The Great One!

Squid had the 3B plan.

Ship out Reyes and move Goto or Deleon to first base. That is an much better option than trying to force feed him 3B.

Let Goto come in slowly. I'm guessing he wants to promote him for 2000.
Reyes walks after 2000 and Goto can become the full-time 1B. Or like you said, Deleon moves to 1B and let Goto catch.
Or maybe he wants to hold onto Reyes beyond 2000. I don't know. I surely wouldn't tell him who to trade or hold onto. That's up to him.
The Goto to 3B thing though is just a tough move. I think he's fortunate that Goto hasn't had any problems offensively at AAA while dealing with the switch. It's probably because Goto is just that good.Denver Bulls

The one thing I would mention... take it for what it's worth.... Goto jumped to #1 in BA when he moved him to 3B. In a system that over-values Catchers, it may be telling.
That being said, I'd roll a Goto - Hamilton - Brown OF in 2000 in a heartbeat. The Great One!
