Was that a "the Golden Child" reference?

I agree. Just saying other guys might be scared to promote bc of something like that.

I was thinking about that yesterday, actually.

No telling how players work out given a different opportunity.

We pitched our arms off against New Orleans this week. Unfortunately that resulted in two injuries. Tulun got the worst of it by far... Out for 8 - 10 months with a torn rotator cuff. Who knows what he'll be like when he comes back.

This season can't end soon enough.

Big stretch coming up for us. Gotta have a strong August for us to be relevant in September. The team is healthy right now but the bats need to wake up. Anibal Calderon has been ICE cold this year as has Dusty Campbell. The pitching is doing as expected as have most of the bats. The division is impossible but the WC is still a possibility.

Travis, Simmons, Morris and Adams have had spells where they can't hit the broad side of a barn. They weren't dead, they were learning. As soon as they got that rating bump they went back to hitting, like the previous month never even happened. Would that have happened on a team like Virginia? My only guess is that the supporting cast has a huge say in how well a kid does during those learning phases. Cali might be another good example of young kids that may be learning but the lineup depth is so good that they just can't fail.
