[QUOTE=Carlos;175558]I'll agree with Clay. I hate bumping young hitters up "too soon."

Gee I wish I had someone to even consider....

As stated by others, calling someone up "early" is pretty is pretty subjective. Personally, I don't think I have ruined enough careers with early promotions yet.

I guess some guys don't want their player to turn out like this guy: http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_5012.html

Oh...you thought I meant with a bad career? I just meant stuck in the Syracuse organization.

Its a difference of opinions nothing more. Some people live by "he's 21 ! he's ready" others r " you know 25...think ill leave him in AAA at 26"

I'm new at this rebuilding thing so who the heck knows. To me, its still case by case.

Oh to me, that was horrible. Sure he had contact, but he never got the "other stuff"

I don't think he was a casualty of being pushed up too quickly. If I remember correctly, he never had much potential beyond his current ratings when. He was drafted. And as much as I hate to admit when Clay is right, but there is definitely something about being drafted into winning organizations.

Not buying the "winning org" thing. Or else teams in the 80's would still suck in the 90's.

I wish we had parallel BLB's.

I would love to know if Turcotte has a year like this one if he's still in Morgantown.

I dont think there's a black and white right time to bring up guys. Theres certainly not a perfect age. I do think there are better situations.

Situations for sure, but age, no way. Some guys have it, others don't. Which guys are which, is the hard part to figure out.

If I had a 21-year-old shortstop who OPS+ed 153+ at AAA in 300+ plate appearances, I'd call him up too.
