        Pawtucket 3-4. Yawn.

        Down on the farm:

Yoshiyuki Ito continues to impress in AA. I hate moving someone 21 up to AAA, but now my scout is starting to look at him as legit so maybe its time.

Lorenzo Guzman another kid that my scout likes more and more. He has not been impressed with AA hitters. Again, 21.

Overall I can't complain about the development happening right now. Nailing the draft picks next season is going to be big for us.

Easily the most disappointing sim this year.

4-3. But Indy also went 4-3 so we stay 5 GB.

Not disappointed. Stayed level. Would have liked to not split with Dallas but can't expect to best Dimmick.

The big win is Fitz besting Morgan in a 9-0 victory over the Clowns. That had pride written all over it.

Kel Brown went all of July without a home run and hit like absolute shit. Many of my guys were crap in July but this last week seemed to right the ship.

It's scary annoying how monthly OOTP is. I've noticed my team is off by a week however. They always slump a week prior to the month ending and then regain their form 4 weeks later with a week prior to the new month's end. It's like clockwork.

August traditionally has been good to us. September has always been helter skelter. So the time is now.

We hit .206 as a team? And Vleugel is moving to the pen. My God he has NO control this year.

                  We're #1....in top systems.

It's hard to hold "Big" Jon Gutierrez back but we refuse to bring him up until next year. He's only 21 but everything says he's ready for the bigs. We never promote this young but he's gonna get even more pissed soon.

Spring training 2000 for him. Anticipating huge power numbers from him someday. He'll easily have over 30 bombs combined this year in AA & AAA.

I think he's fine sitting in AAA till next year. I think a call up this season might be disappointing. I think the Jan 1 bump will push his to BLB ready.

I'll agree with Clay. I hate bumping young hitters up "too soon."

Pitchers, no problem. If they look ready, I'm doing it. All that hurts each one I've bumped "prematurely" according to conventional wisdom is injury. Damn injuries.

I even hate it at 22, but I'll have no choice next year.

We've been very happy with our 22 year old... though he actually turned 23 today.

                          Happy Birthday, TJ!

I see so many people bringing there kids up so fast. Not to say some kids are just destined for an early move, like I said one day my slow moves will burn me.

That's why we play the Owner/GM role. Its all timing. Btw- TJ= the right move.

Never thought rebuilding would be so much fun!

Samuel Helmrich with the walkoff against his former team, Pawtucky. Unfortunately our only win of the week.
