Best part about this CAL regular season is that people are completely ignoring how good VIR is right now.
Yes. Virginia is considerably less scary in a 7 game series without Morgan. I know Gus is lights out in the playoffs, but hes no Morgan. I'm not saying it wouldn't be tough, but I think VA is a more winnable matchup for us.

But again, gotta win the wildcard first of course.

I'd take the VIR 1-2-3 over CAL, BAL or CAR in a series. Pitching wins in the playoffs.

You probably could drag in two body bags or even a couple of guys from the Syracuse rotation, and still have a great chance because of Pancho. So that goes without saying. However, Gus isnt particularly scary right now and I don't even know who would be your #3.

In the end, I think all four teams have very good(not great) rotations that are comparable 1-2-3 talent-wise. Barring any late season cold streaks that mysteriously but justly strike either team, it will probably be VA and Cali as the last men standing just because their offenses are just better than BAL or CAR.

I'll take my chances with the #3 who hasn't given up an ER since the All-Star game.... OH... and has never lost a Playoff game. Probably a dice roll.

You DO realize he won't be pitching against WAS, DAV or BAT, right?

Probably a good time to mention Dewitt Pierce is available for anyone needing pitching help in these hotly contested playoffs coming up.

I see. So since the AS break he's thrown 25 innings without an ER and his ERA is all the way down to 4.81?

                        That is very impressive.

Nary a mention of the defending champs, quietly playing .592 baseball, sporting two OSA top 10 pitchers in their rotation.

                          Huh.

                            Pawtucket 3-4 somehow.

Pawtucket moves up to #10 with prospects. Core of this team seems to be in AA, but some more pitching seems to be popping up in A as well.

Overall, still happy the fans are coming out to watch this slop.
