Hey another extensive injury. Great. 4-2 sim though. We'll take it.
We don't normally get a whole lot of injuries, but this year its been absolutely crazy for us. Its almost like the deeper your team is, the more likely the CPU is going to hose you.
3-3 as we continue to find new and creative ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Vluegel and the offense spots the pen 8 IP, 0 ER and a 4 run lead. The combination of Danny Rodriquez and Basil Petrohilos somehow combine to allow 4 runs to send the game into extra innings. Then with a 1-run lead in the fifteenth inning (yes, 15th inning) we allow another run to allow the game to continue. Then in the 19th inning, Gus Clark (LAM) hits a walk off double to send us back home with a 3-3 week.
Marv Goodman is blistering the ball into the gaps. 30 doubles this year. 5 hits this past sim. All five hits were for doubles. Sure, he's not gonna hit .300 like that, but he's slugging .526.
Anyway, it matters because this guy asked me for a two-year deal. I offered it. He said cool. Hit submit. He gets back to me. It's not enough money and it's too long. Okay.
So I offer him the one-year deal he wants. I have money for next year. Let's do this.
He just replied to me that it's not only too little money, but too short! This guy is counting dollars with every double he collects.
Now his demands are twice what he originally asked. Goodness Goodman. But I like the guy, so not cutting off negotiations. Just gonna wait till end of season in case he somehow reverts to last season's numbers when he crashed and burned in August and September.
