I released him because I could. I was responsible for his contract. Trust me, if I cared that much about the contract, I would have returned him.
I'm not even gonna ask for the money back. I thought the point of returning players is to avoid being responsible for the contract.

You're misunderstanding the money I gave up by releasing him. I paid out the remainder of his contract for the season, which I wouldn't pay if he wasn't on my roster as of whatever day I placed him in the returns thread.
So my move hurts me. I admitted to that and held responsibility for it. What's the point of your post?
