I've thought (and said) for years that I felt when my reign in the IL was over it was likely going to California. BUT... I'm not quite ready yet.

I'm totally prepared for the yearly ass kicking from Virginia that surely will be on the way soon enough.

Hopefully they are just starting out hot and will cool down after the All-Star break. I doubt it though. I've always thought Mashburn would eventually become Woodbury-esque at the plate.

Marshburn doesn't have the speed or plate discipline to be Woodbury but I made the same comparison when he was called up. I think Al Hamilton is a closer comparison to Woodbury.

That Fujii kid responded well to his injury. Guess he got that "Rookie of the Year" treatment... his power showed up.

On offense, five of the eight starters were not drafted by me. Fujii, Betts, Trujillo, Burley, Turcotte were either traded for or signed as FA.

Only Fisher, Marshburn and Pillsbury were 1st round picks drafted by me.

He was on the active roster for over 30 days last year. That's where he lost eligibility.

Maybe the game handles it differently but I'm almost positive it doesn't.

The voting utility uses its own criteria (I think), so that might have to be factored in too.
