Anyone had a FA not sign? I've been offering a guy a contact since the beginning of the season and it says he keeps thinking about it. Then last sim it said he was getting tired of my jokes. I'm even offering over his demand. Ya we suck but come on...is it a glitch?

          3-3.
Won 2 of 3 against Los Angeles. Lost 2 of 3 against Los Lunas.
          20-18 Overall, 1 GB

Rex Morgan goes 1-4 in his debut, scoring 2 runs. Bollati picks up another win (3-2) and Lim gets the save. Brown hits his 9th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the first against Torres.

In the second game of the three-game series, Denver was down 2-1 to start the 9th. Newly acquired Beniquez blows the save allowing 4 runs. Denver scored 6 total in the top of the 9th.

Cy Gray doubled to score two runs. Browning then hit a sac fly to score another. And with two outs, Brown tripled in two more runs.

Curt Stewart promptly gave up 3 runs in the bottom half before Lim shut the door.

Another solid start for Ole Mens. 7.1 IP, 2 Runs, 5 Hits. The walk are high (5), but everything else is good to go.

Troy Clark lost a tough 2-1 complete game to close out the series. Manny Ocampo was just that much better.

Back home and this Los Lunas series was a mess.

Lost 7-3 in the first game. Stewart giving up 4 runs in the 10th. Mueller pitched well, but still needs to work on his walk totals. Only gave up 3 runs in 7.1 innings, but walked 7 men.

Rex Morgan hit his first home run in a Denver uniform.

Managed a win in the middle game. Fitzgerald going 7.1 strong, but still not enough offense. Stewart actually managed to not give up any runs for a change and Lim picked up his DL leading 13th save.

Toiguchi hit his 10th home run.

In the rubber match, Los Lunas tied up the game late at 2-2 and eventually won when Maddox hit an 11th inning home run off Miyauchi.

The blown save for Alejandro Rodriguez wiped clean an impressive start for Lindsey. 0 ER in 7 innings.

Rex Morgan went hitless for the first time all week.

Toiguchi did manage his DL-leading 11th home run of the year. And Goodman hit his DL-leading 15th double.

Overall, so-and-so. My belief is this team needs to score 4 runs to win games. If they score 4 (or if the opposition had just scored 4) then we'd be 4-2 for the week.

As a team, Denver is averaging 3.9 RPG. The hope is Rex Morgan and Hector Gonzalez help push that number up. The first week with Morgan didn't accomplish that.

Also, my A ball manager has lost his damn mind. Using every RP every game for 0.1 IP even when it's not needed. Going to have to check his settings.

Your still safely in first. I'd be more pissed at "Big Stud" slg % considering the money invested in him.

Pawtucket 2-4. Lost one of our best pitchers for the year so that should it for us in 1999.

                  Farm news:

Jimmy Esterson promoted to AAA and faired well in starts with a 2.16 era 3 walks and 9 k's. Gonna say now he's looking alot like a junk ball lefty, but can always use a guy or two like this at the bottom of the rotation.

SS Orlando Saucedo will be joining Jimmy next sim. OSA says "ready for AAA" and I dont want his moral to start getting affected.

AA & A teams are having fine seasons overall.

Fujii will be fine. As long as he hits for average I'll live with the lack of power.

It pains me to say this but he's young and just scratching the surface.

4-2 and looking good against the Stout this week.

Our pitching is starting to settle in a bit which is shown by the 2.83 Team ERA. Unfortunately we still had one blown save which is disappointing. Probably the biggest surprise was the play of "The Most Interesting Man in the BLB," Luis Miguel Rodriguez who was called off the DFA to start at 1B. True to his namesake, LMR just made things interesting by hitting 5/12 for the week including, 2 home runs.

                          Very interesting, indeed.
