Gene Dixon suffered a hamstring injury on April 24 (only days after suffering from a cold). He suffered a set back from the 4-week injury on May 9 saying he would miss another two weeks.

But I guess Dixon still wanted to get out on the field and injured himself slipping on wet grass in the team's practice facility while the team was playing in Indianapolis.

I just chalk it up to something weird.

I see it this way: Dixon stayed back to get into game shape and hurt himself. He was at the practice facility. I made sure to bring that up and also mention that the team was in Indianapolis.

The only majorly awkward part is the manager saying he will keep him out of games as a precaution. He was already not playing because of injury.

Haven't really noticed because the only league I play in it is more of a old school baseball style. You know, 4 man rotations, 300 innings.
