    PING DALLAS (Woodbury)

    On 3/27/99, Woodbury sustained an injury deemed CAREER ENDING and immediately retired before official diagnosis.

    At this point, his choice to retire took his salary off your books. IF you choose to resurrect him, his contract will have to be reinstated. If you choose to just let his career end, no additional intervention is necessary.

    I'll need to know before the SIM on Wednesday. Let me know if you have any questions.

    It'll be season ending and likely won't be the same. He made the wise choice. Sad to see a legend go.

        If he doesn't come back, I'm choosing to see it as Logo feeling like he just doesn't have the passion anymore. His "injury" and choice to retire was to save Dallas the money because he's the class act that he is.

          Not really. I was hoping he'd become an FA the end of last season so I had money for FA. Once I knew he'd be around another year, I planned on him being in the everyday line up. But I can't complain--clearing the money is nice.

          Clay, as much as I'd like to keep him, I'm sure he'd be out the whole season with whatever the injury is, so it's a waste of money. But I do think he still had a couple more good seasons left in him. So disappointed his career ends now.

          You can just go ahead and leave as is and let him stay retired. Thanks for the heads up--I didn't even notice it and don't even see a single note about it in game or HTML.

                  By league rules, we don't allow CAREER ENDING INJURIES. If a guy gets one (and is on the ACTIVE ROSTER or BA TOP 100), the owner has the option to resurrect. However, in most cases, they still have lengthy injuries to serve and are nearly wrecked.
