Two players in the pen this sim.

P Ivan Perez is just a veteran lefty to fill in this season since I really have no lefites. Nothing more to say on him.

P Kang-xi Han is only 24 and he feels more like a RP than a starter to me. The former #5 pick in the 93 draft is going to start off in AAA until we can figure out what he really is. Might just need to rework him a bit. Gives us a nice fan interest boot.

As usual, I'm losing out on the "minor league" guys. I wonder what makes a guy determine where he wants to play or is it just pure luck?

          $54 MM over 3 years.

He has to be the most overpaid player in career earnings in league history.

Boring sim. Welcome back Artie Ward, I guess.

BJ Parker's splits leave us optimistic that he can be a low-cost DH option against LHP.

He's a good player. Just think he's been overpaid even all the way back to his arbitration cases.

Career .843 OPS middle IF with several DWI (or Wizard awards)....maybe he has, but Maine had the budget and seems solid to me. The salaary cap days are over.

I guess I've seen worse. Pretty sure we shall see some unproven INTL players getting some hefty paychecks based on "hope" on one scouting report.

I hate to agree with Funclown, but its the fact that he can play some SS that adds to his value. SS's are so tough to find in this league.

Based on recent success stories, people seem to have far less of a problem throwing money at internationals than they used to. But it's only a matter of time before someone really gets burned, based on what some of these guys are asking for.

Lol, one of the INTL players had such a crazy initial scouting report from my guy I'm suprised the overall summary didn't read

                        "He is Thor!."

.843 in his career. Los Alamos paid him $25 MM a year to play at .793 OPS. Maybe you want to pay someone $25 MM for defense.

He made one all-star team during his 5 year contract. Twice led the league in strikeouts. Won one DWI award.

$25 MM deserves much more than that.

I'm impressed that Tynan Brown signed for so little. But, I guess he's gonna enjoy making $750,000 for the Disability List.

Not scoffing at the signing. He comes back healthy, he's paid very little and Batavia will have first jump at keeping him.

edit: Also, two of the Internationals decided to retire. I guess one sim was enough to convince them they weren't going to be signed.

They've heard the stories that the PAW GM likes to "shower" with the ballplayers after practice while visiting the minor league affiliates on scouting trips.
