The worst sim of the year, made doubly worse when you pick too late in the Rule V draft to draft anyone good.

Best thing about trading away first round picks and still sucking?

I get to pick high in Rule V!

If we were allowed to trade Rule V picks, you would be unstoppable.

            This is a paradox.

So I guess Rule V is strictly based on record.

It seems like Rule V has gotten better over the last couple of years.

Holy CRAP! I had 6 guys tell me they were going to accept their minor league contract extension, and then they filed for Free Agency anyway. My offseason is going to be a pain in the ass.

Oh, and I lost all three arbitration cases and Dave stole my Hitting Coach. I sense that the '99 season will not go well for us.

New Owners every offseason make the Rule V interesting. I'm not even sending a list and, to me, there's a clear guy I'd expect to be on every list. And the fact that he moved from AA back to A when he should be at AAA and probably ready for the BLB screams "green owner".

Murdoch accepting arbitration really hurts us. That's 17mil on the books that would have been in addition to the 8mil that I currently have. Could have done something worthwhile this offseason. Plus he isn't worth it anymore and I don't have a tremendous need at the position. I almost decided to not offer it when the negotiations with him were getting ridiculous, but I was greedy. Them's the breaks I guess...

Rule V really didn't look that great to me, but we usually miss here anyway.

That's a monster. $17 in ARB is crazy. With the drop off in talent in the draft, a type A isn't worth the gamble. Sadly, we'll all learn the lesson at your expense. Thanks, spot.

At #24 I fully expect all of the players on my list to be gone, anyway.

If it was Carbajal then I might be okay with it but this one hurts. You are all welcome.
