Ok, so my starting RF and leadoff hitter is lost for 4 weeks. I have two questions regarding OOTP's CPU substitution logic.
1) I listed my RF backup as Pete Kellum, who is my starting CF. I listed Kellum's backup in CF as Joe Truex. Is the CPU smart enough to move Kellum over to RF for my injured RF and start Truex in CF? Or will it not move Kellum since he's already in my starting lineup?
2) Assuming the CPU inserts a backup into my RF's position, will the CPU logic also adjust my lineup? Will the backup bat wherever my starting RF batted in the lineup, or will the CPU shift him down in the lineup?
I'm at work and can't look at box scores right now to see what happened after the injury occured, but I'm just wondering how much I need to change my lineup, if any, before the next round of games. If the CPU is good about inserting the correct backup(s) and dropping the backups in the batting order, I'm inclined to just let it ride. But I'm not sure whether the CPU is that smart.
Anyone have any idea?
