SpoilerWow.
Los Angeles had a runner in scoring position in the 10th, 12th, and 14th innings. They then put their first two men on in the bottom of the 16th, only to watch Darrel Stevenson line into an 8-4-3 triple play on what must have been an amazing catch by the league's finest defensive CF, Brad Flynn. Flynn then comes up in the 17th and singles in the go-ahead run in a playoff-clinching 5-2 victory.
Meanwhile RJ Curtis wins twice in the final week to go to 19-3 on the season and nudges Dimmick by 0.01 in ERA to win the DL triple crown.
Best. Sim. Ever. Congrats on an awesome season, my Lager compatriots. I feel bad for LA and Mississippi, sitting out of the playoffs with 90+ wins each while Dallas wins the Pilsner with a sub-.500 record.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990

SpoilerDisappointed, but can't say I am surprised. 90 wins is very good for this team. We just got hot a bit too early.
Congrats to Carolina and Washington, both are very deserving of the postseason.BLB

Congrats to me on the PYT wildcard berth. The peoples Wild Card team!
85 wins this year, +20 from last year. Attendance up 26.2%. Very successful on many fronts. A little ahead of schedule. This might be a blip year considering we're a few years away.
Still some moves and more development to be done.Last edited by Jistic; 09-28-2012, 09:12 AM.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

Hector Chavez wins the batting title at .361
FUN FACT
In his 8 seasons of full-time play... Chavez has won the Batting Title 5 times and come in 2nd place the other 3. In addition, he ties MLB's Willie Keener's streak with 8 consecutive 200 hit seasons. He trails only Ichiro's 10 seasons which is considered by many as an unbreakable record.

I feel like people are kind of glossing over the fact that we turned a potentially season-saving 8-4-3 triple play in the bottom of the 16th inning on the final day of the season.
I know it's only the wild card, but in the annals of history that has to be one of the most amazing plays of all time in terms of game situation and the rarity of the triple play.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990

Can't be shocked. A lot of teams don't even watch the PbP of their own games, let alone others.
It's an amazing roll of the dice considering I think the game beats out an exorbitant number of double plays. Pulling a triple play is shocking. The Great One!

Very odd season for the Dino's. Thought with that +6 pyt rec and #1 in runs scored they might fare better and make a run. Turns out the Lager went nuclear this season and made 92 wins useless.Last edited by funclown; 09-28-2012, 11:55 AM.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS
