Any thoughts on Playoff activities/SIM stuff that will make it more exciting for the league?

I know there's always a feel that the Playoffs are anti-climactic.

We do live sims via AIM chat room in one of my other leagues if there is enough interest. Usually hit or miss though.

Went to a 40th birthday party at a new bar this weekend. Got a nice base laid down at the bar. Headed home... sure wished I had some good alcohol on my bar for a nightcap. But, alas, my rep had let me down.

It's impossible to actually manage a bullpen when OOTP ignores the slots you place pitchers in.

Why are guys that are not in any slot getting more innings than guys I have slotted as 1st, 2nd reliever? It's beyond stupid and incredibly frustrating.

Not to mention the blatant opportunity to place a rested closer into a 3-2 game and instead opting to place a reliever I don't have anywhere on my depth chart.

What's the point of calling up pitchers if they aren't used? What's the point of the pitching staff screen if it's largely ignored all the time?

I don't know you well enough to tell if you're being facetious.

I think bullpen usage - or the lack of actual bullpen usage control (despite the game having slots to make you believe you do have control) - is a real issue when managing an online sim team.

Or in my case, trying to. I feel as if I'm merely hoping the AI would be smart in a given situation and most of the time I find they are not. The only solution is to make sure you have an entire bullpen of great relievers. That isn't easy to do otherwise everyone would have that.

Nothing in those settings tells your manager to use the guys in the slots and NOT the guys that aren't in the depth chart.

I can understand lefty/righty stuff or how quick to hook a reliever. But those aren't my issues. It's the blatant disrespect in ignoring the time I put into having relievers placed in very specific roles.
