Art Yeandle goes down and we can't win a game without him much less score a run. The offense is finished as is any chance to hit .500 I'm afraid. Shame he was having a huge year.
Back to sucking!

when do they waiver claims go through and the clock starts for making a deal?
Players are on waivers for 48 hrs. Once that period passes if the player was claimed the team with the highest priority has 48 hrs from that point to work out a deal with the original team.

i thought so i just remember someone usually posts "pitt has the preveiling claim, they have 48 hrs. to trade, pull back or let them go" ... something like that. so i did not know if the clock did not start till that was posted.

That's usually done as a courtesy. The person that does that was out of town this weekend so the statuses didn't get updated.
1B Wessin Ramirez has started his annual Aug/Sep tear to get his numbers up to a respectable level. The guy takes 3.5 months off every year then leaves a path of destruction in his wake starting every Aug. It's like it's programmed in or something.
Pawtucket 4-2. Just playing out the string, crazy how bad we are at home this season. (21-30 thus far)
Two prospects continue to rise. RF Ron Schraeder continues to tear up AA ball (22hrs/ slg .570/ ops .964) Should be ready for AAA at seasons end.
First round pick 2B Todd Boyce continues to impress at A ball (.347/ OPS .868) Won't be stunned to see him debut in the top 100 in the near future.
Overall nice to see some prospects make some waves down on the farm.

6-0 for the week and we look like we are hitting our stride. Looking dangerous on both sides of ball. I think Rex must've read my post last week about his play because he played out of his mind. Also, Joe Rojas is not doing what I expected. I'm going to try and move him later in the lineup and see if he just needs a little pressure taken off of him.
