    NEXT SIM: Friday

    ***

    26 @ AA for B'More

    ***

Trade Deadline is FRIDAY. Please keep trades posts clear and specific in terms of Pre-SIM.

    ***

Davenport is on a brief hiatus. Their minor league system is under league control (briefly). Spear will be making the decision on his future in the next week. If need be, we will move swiftly to replace him. Obviously, we hope Spear can stick around, but we'll do what we have to do to move seamlessly.
    The Great One!

It's no way for a division leader to operate their organization, that's for sure.

            Other news:

-- Dani Alveraz hit home run #500.
-- We went 5-2 and are only a game back of Hartford in the Ale.
-- The fan interest drop from losing Chamissa was only from 85 to 82. Not bad.
-- Donnie Greene is hurt. Damn it.
-- Toiguchi killed it in his first Guides week. 1.132 OPS with 5 RBI.
            -- Hector Padilla OPSed .917.

Dane Browning came up with a creative way to alleviate the OF roster spot logjam that had developed in Philly. Out for 8 months with a broken elbow. Way to take one for the team!

Could be me with a sim like that.

I'm not sure what it is about my division but we suck against it. I was semi mentally prepared for this to happen. If that is possible.

We have a list. But, I'd rather have Spear stay.

CL Andy Beniquez has a dead arm right to the start the week, we blow 3 games after the 7th inning to go 2-5.

Yep, nothing going our way right now.

So Shiity has played his last game in a Bulldog uniform and possibly, the last game of his career. So sad.

Still staying above .500 which is good.

                        The Good:
Hai-feng Goei who has been on the trading block all year with no nibbles is 11-2 with a 3.36 ERA. Glad he's still here! (but can be had for a price...it's just a little more of a price now.)

Are Yeandle at the age of 29 has debuted on the OSA top players list. He's had a monster year. He is finally playing to his ratings. We took a gamble a few years ago and locked him in on a long term deal. Maybe it's gonna pay off? Still to early to tell. Not sure if Er has sparked him or what. But he hasn't slowed down. Good stuff for Funclown's favorite player.

                        The Bad

We still fail to close games and lose 1 run games with regularity. Our closer has an ERA of 1.87 yet routinely chokes in save situations.

Cristian Rivera not only cannot regain his early form but is playing worse. We don't have a lot of options though at SS, like most teams.

The purist in me wants to force retire him after this season. In the real world, he would certainly hang them up now.

Amazing career. No brainer 1st ballot guy.

BMOC Yasuhiko Nakayama hits .500 in 8 AB's while playing 21 flawless innings in the field between 3B, SS, and 1B. Championship!

RP Hisashi Tanaka looks real good so far, up to 10.1 IP with a .84 ERA and a .84 WHIP.
