    Makes sense.

Also congrats to Wally Copeland for winning Rookie of the Month. He made the jump from AA and hasn't looked back. The Rule 5 draft pick has a slash line of .269/.317/.538 with 16 HR's and 42 ribbies.

.500 at the break = success.

Gonna have to update the trade block soon though as it's about that time.

Last sim I noted that 4 - 2 isn't going to get it done in the Lager this year. Looks like 5 - 1 isn't going to help us either, Jimmy. Funny you should mention the BP... For us, that was the big difference between last year's early playoff exit and the previous season's Brewmasters appearance.

3-3 for the week. Swept the champs, then turned around and got swept by Washington. Hector Gonzalez wasn't too effective in his first week and I think that was the difference in the results for the week. Well that, and the fact that Washington hit a couple million home runs against us.

Also #11 on the Top Prospects List, Tanner Bangle made his debut and had an ok outing vs. Virginia. He'll mainly play mopup and grab a few more starts here and there during those long stretches in the 2nd half of the season.

Not really a big deal since I traded all my All-Stars away. It would have been tough picking from this group of guys.

                              Don't need one. We're all All-Stars.

Probably would have taken 'Petro'. But, Bayer and Jarva will have you with them in spirit. They earned their votes in Batavia.
