5-1 week, including a sweep of the Bats. We went 2-1 vs. The Champs and it took a classic performance by Pancho for them to avoid the broom at home. We also led the league in ERA for the 2nd straight week WHILE PLAYING AWAY FROM HOME.
Full recap after work when I get a chance to really look at the numbers.Last edited by Delandis; 08-10-2012, 10:25 AM.

Pawtucket 3-3.
In the middle of this 9 game road trip. Just plodding along. Abbot back next sim and already the lineup looks alot better. He has a WAR of 4+ last season so be nice if he plays at that level.
Otherwise, "nothing for you to see here".
One note: How about that Lowell A team!!!!!Last edited by funclown; 08-10-2012, 11:07 AM.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS

This team isn't good. Last year we finished tied for 3rd worst team in baseball... and that was with Mike Murdock, Robert Abbott and Derrek Tucker. Water always finds it's level.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Baltimore Bulldogs (17-15; 1st in Porter)
5-1 sim
3-0 @ WAS
2-1 @ VIR
The Good
-Surprisingly, our rotation continues to be strongest part of our team. Our normal five starters gave up a total just of 2 ER in 37 IP last week. What was most impressive, was that these performances were against two of the better offenses in the IL (albeit one of the two was handicapped). I've even got relievers, who through nearly 1/4 of the season, have not even sniffed the mound (that's what she said?). This could be a nice advantage as the season really gets into full swing.
-I'd like to mention the performance of starting pitcher, Lonnie Fowler. Fowler has had an outstanding start to the season, going 3-2 with a 2.01 ERA. He even went toe-to-toe with the BLB's all-time greatest pitcher last week, allowing just one earned run (which happened to be a home run) through seven innings and losing 0-1.
-Quietly, Everado Gremades has come back to our team and made us extremely dangerous offensively. In the three weeks since his return from a spring training injury, the future HOF'er has hit .379 with a .468 OBP. I'll be the first to admit, its a lot more fun when the overachieving 40 year old is on my team.
The Bad
I'm starting to think that Pat Marlin just doesn't start the year well. After ending last year well, I truly expected more than a .215 average and just two home runs. It would be in his best interest to pick it up because rookie, Angelo Barrios did go 4/7 in his two starts last week and former CSU-Fullerton star, Nagisa Kobayashi, is starting to put up monster #'s in AAA and isn't far from convincing me he's ready to make the jump.
The Minors
Nothing to report down here really. Our AAA and AA squads are pretty terrible, with our only bright spot being our Single A club. I'm pretty sure they will be terrible pretty soon as well.
What's Next?
We head back home to host the IL leading, Tobs before rolling out to Wilmington to face the league's most impressive young pitcher, Eric Keifer.Last edited by Delandis; 08-11-2012, 07:32 AM.
