    The Good
The waiver claim of Hector "Blade" Pagan might go down as the best in BLB history. In his three starts for the Bats, he is 3-0, 18.1 IP, 1 ER, 18 K. Sure, he is walking almost one batter per inning but if they can't knock them in, who cares. The dude has been more than I could imagine. In his last start, he gave up two hits over 6.1 innings, in 7-4 win over Batavia.
Bowflex trained you well. You're really pumping Pagan up well so people are itching to get him from you.

The funny thing is I tried to get several IL teams to take him last season--no luck. I put him on irrevocable waivers several times last year and this year just trying to dump his salary. I truly believed he would be fine in the IL and you're proving my point for me.

A lot of guys in the IL still don't understand that many average DL pitchers can become top rotation guys there.

Color me surprised that Pagan is doing so well.

I almost pulled the trigger a couple of times on him, but I didn't want to destroy my team with another guy who walked a lot people. I was thinking about moving him to the pen and putting him on a short leash. If I didn't think I could contend for the Porter these last couple of years, I would have given him a chance. Good pickup by Washington.

HOWEVER, I'll be watching him closely to see if keeps it up. He did throw six walks against WIL and seven against BAT. Yes, Washington did win. But in my experience, that's just playing with fire. But again, its still a great pick up.

Baltimore Bulldogs (17-15; 1st in Porter)
          5-1 sim
          3-0 vs. CHI
          2-1 vs. LAM

          The Good
I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop with our pitching but I'll take the wins as they come our way. Our pitching powered us to a great week. A 1.31 ERA and 1.16 WHIP for the ENTIRE team for an ENTIRE week? Please excuse my excitement, but I don't think I've ever seen numbers like that in Baltimore. Not even in the Jeff Franklin days. Derek Vleugel is #1 in the IL in K's while Wade Coates is just two spots behind him. With the dominance our starters showed last week, we haven't had a chance to really see how the loss of Caden Hill to Dallas impacts us.

          The Bad
If I have to expose a bad performance, it would have to be the first week of rookie outfielder, Angelo Barrios. Barrios got the start over Pat Marlin for most of the week and went just 1/15. I know, he's just a rookie and I guess I could look on the bright side and appreciate the 2 RBI he earned with that one hit.

          The Minors
I decided to give #15 Top Prospect, Tanner Bangle a little more time in AAA. He continues to impress and we'll probably reevaluate the move to the BLB around the All-Star break. He is going to make the leap sometime this year, that's for sure. What's been most impressive about the kid is that he seems to be keeping his walks under control. BLB reliever, Don Newman had better perform a little bit better in the coming weeks or he may find himself anchoring our AAA bullpen.

          What's Next?
We get to be the first victims of the rejuvenated Colonials now that Batavia took them off of life support. Looking forward to that. After that, we head to Washington play Smoke and Mirrors Reloaded. I think we probably go 2-4 or 3-3 this week.

Because my regular starters were in the lineup. But they were batting in the wrong order.

Are you positive you don't have 7-day lineups ON?

I'd be shocked if it's nt a setting. There is no known bug that matches.

I've checked the team control and 7-day lineup settings again and again. I've noticed other "buggy" things since the switch to OOTP 12; and I've had a lot of problems downloading the league file. I might download the software again.

FWIW, only one lineup was screwy this sim. My starting 3B normally bats 2nd and my starting SS normally bats 7th. There was a scheduled substitution at 3B, but instead of batting 2nd the sub hit 7th and the starting SS was moved up to the 2nd position. My SS is not in the 2nd slot in any of my lineups.

Ironically... We've gone 10 - 2 since I noticed the incorrect lineups. Maybe I should just roll with it.

I'm not gonna pretend I don't let the AI Manager set my lineups when things are a mess.

Yes, there's a joke coming from somewhere.
