I have a player with diagnosis pending too. I'm just going to place him on the 15-day DL.

The way I look at it, he isn't going to play this next sim. Odds are the injury is probably 1-2 weeks. If it's a substantial injury, then I already have him on the DL. If it's a 3-4 day injury, then he misses one sim, but I get an open roster spot for the two sims he was out for.

It's really not a big deal....but don't blame me, I voted to end the diagnosis.

Carlton obviously has the best four-year stretch. I don't think it's as simple as saying he had the best career. "Not even close" I think is severely underrating what Hanrahan has done.

Or you're severely underrating how good Carlton was as a Closer.

Well... not to agree with Pat... well... actually I don't... with retro DL, I don't necessarily see this as the best choice...

            THAT BEING SAID.....

In exactly 1:35 of research of this season I found that exactly one DIAGNOSIS PENDING occurrences lasted for less than 9 calendar days from the time of injury through diagnosis to end of injury (in that case, it was only 6 days). In most cases, the total time was in excess of 3 weeks.

Bases on that alone, I think sitting a player down for a week is a pretty safe bet.

This isn't what is at issues. The posts are largely about the fact that people still believe the setting is not realistic. Obviously, that has and can continue to be discussed.

I'm just giving advice/opinion from one owner to another... In those cases, I'd always sit them for the week.

He wasn't properly pimped at the time.

270 Saves as a Closer on bad, bad teams.

68 wins as a Starter in only 4 seasons.... Pale Ale... Championship. Best pitcher in the IL during that time. 6 or 7 All-Stars.

Retiring at 36 is the only thing that doesn't hold up to Hanrahan.

And you're still ignoring Hanrahan's numbers.

It's impossible to discuss opinion when you always try to make one side a fact.

I like Hanrahan. I said I did. But, I disagree. Debating isn't about defending both sides. I said Carlton was better and defended it.

                              True. You made your case.

I really didn't choose a side and I did ask for thoughts.
