*1998 BLB Amateur Draft*

I already had my thoughts ready for the "compact the draft" argument.
To me, the problem is not the length of the draft, it's the amount of talent. We've never had this little amount of talent in the draft in the history of the league. Ever. I still have a list going, but only because I'd rather pick a scrub than auto pick one. Whatever's happened with OOTP 12, or feeders or whatever the combination is, there's way too little talent in the draft. It's like the NBA draft, once you get to the middle of the first you're just hoping to get a role guy.
IMO, even though we won't see it yet, I think if this keeps up through 13, etc, we'll see a definite reduction in BLB level talent in 7-8 years.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
