So far the GMs here are using their noggin. Pitchers galore.

Carroll was one of the guys I thought could end up better than Neal. Nearly as good of stuff, but I think his control potential is considerably higher. He's got more work to do to get there, but I think he's an ace if it works.

Carroll was in the next tier for me, but still a really good choice.

Former BLB pitcher and our current scout, Gervisio Dealba, seems to be a lot more forgiving on potential than my old scout. He thinks there is a lot of top tier talent in this draft.

I'm not sure what to think about this yet.

Ok after much deliberation we've decided to go with Javier "Abnormal" Gonzalez, SP OSU. Although we're rich in pitching prospects, I had to take the biggest impact player I thought was available. It was not an easy pick as there was one other player in particular I struggled with. I will comment on him when he gets picked.

Our Scout has "Abnormal" as a 6-5-7. The control is hard to pass up. OSA has him as a 6-6-7. I'm hoping these ratings are close to correct. What I liked is our scout had his ratings go up in the beginning of the 1998 season. Statistically he's dominating this year. We're projecting a tiny bit but I'm comfortable with the projection. With the success of Jimmy Neuharth on our staff as a 4-4-7 I'm hoping Abnormal fits right in.

He will fit in nicely with A prospects Edgar Mejia and Tom "Demo" Oshman and come up together.

If needed I can always trade some of these prospects for hitters down the line.

Abnormal is easily the highest risk/reward prospect in the draft. I think he could be the best player or one of the 1st round SPs who never makes it.

Already had a year long injury. Has awful intangibles. And for a college prospect, not the largest sample size.

And the pick needs to be made in utility to continue.
