Oh, I'm here... even though I had two picks, Bertrand going at 8 really threw me off. I'll get both in soon... but I'm a bit OCD about my picks, so, bear with me...

I like the pick for Ricky Adame. I felt he was the best position player available. If I hadn't had either of the 4 pitchers I wanted available, Adame would have been my pick.
May Jake use no one on my roster as a comparison because I've never chosen a position player that high. I don't think.Denver Bulls

Nothing like having two top ten picks and getting no one you actually love.
With our first pick, we took RF Ricky Adame, a guy who graded out as the highest potential hitter in the draft, but worries us because of his low work ethic. I also worry a ton about his '5' for contact... there's no room for error there. But, if he can somehow develop his contact in to a 6-ish level... kid could be a stud. On the bright side, he is fairly developed and my scout's draft list had him as the #1 hitter, one spot in front of Santana, who we loved.
With the 10th pick, we wanted to grab a middle infielder but the two guys we were looking at just weren't worthy of the 10th pick. I really like Cecil Bertrand, nice pick plastic. Anyways... we went with 3B Ignacio Rodriguez. Really developed, could probably start off in AAA if we really wanted to push him. Rough in the field, but very solid at 1B and we truly don't have a great 1B prospect in the minors, so, if he can't develop at 3B, there's room for him at first.Charlotte Knights - OSFL

OK.... the moment none of you were waiting for....
SHAVERMETRICS DRAFT EDITION
I didn't get to spend as much time on it as I have in year's past... but here are a few points....
-- I see about 20 guys in this draft that SHOULD debut in the Top 100. All in all, a little thin. However, based on last year, I think this might be the new normal.
-- I don't see a single one of these players who will debut in the Top 10. There are definitely 3 or 4 that will be Top 25-30, but no one that will debut at the top. A lot of that, however, has to do with some pretty advanced (high minors) players clogging the Top 10 right now.
-- Though this will probably viewed as a Pitcher heavy draft, I think about 65-70% of "Top Guys" here are position players - mostly OF.
***
FWIW - Of the first 11 picks.... ALL 11 are on my list to debut in the Top 100. Not in the order that I have them.... but all of them appear.
Right now I have 2 guys left who are Top 50 and 7 Top 75.
My list is what it is... but, so far the draft is following Hoyle.

I'll expound if anyone cares... but I'm sure you don't.The Great One!
To many rings to count...

I don't always care about the Top 100 because I think it's prejudiced, but it still means something.Denver Bulls

Bandits select SS Orlando Saucedo. Far and away the best remaiming player on the board according to our scout.
Hopefully coupled with Cardenas, last year's first rounder, we are set for the left side of the infield for years to come.BLB
