I already had my thoughts ready for the "compact the draft" argument.
To me, the problem is not the length of the draft, it's the amount of talent. We've never had this little amount of talent in the draft in the history of the league. Ever. I still have a list going, but only because I'd rather pick a scrub than auto pick one. Whatever's happened with OOTP 12, or feeders or whatever the combination is, there's way too little talent in the draft. It's like the NBA draft, once you get to the middle of the first you're just hoping to get a role guy.
IMO, even though we won't see it yet, I think if this keeps up through 13, etc, we'll see a definite reduction in BLB level talent in 7-8 years.

There are only 240-260 picks every year and a good 35-55 are guaranteed to make the league. Its probably anywhere from 15-25% of the draft make the BLB eventually. I don't see anything wrong with that. The issue is scouting accuracy. There is little to no chance to make bad picks early in the draft.

Well unless your name is Tom.
Well, IMO, that might be true before OOTP 12. But these last two drafts have been downright awful.
