SP - Tom "Fate" Stolarik: Our first round pick in '95 is getting his first taste of major league ball this season. He was placed in the starting rotation just to see if he would exceed our expectations. He didn't. So in May he was placed in the bullpen as the long reliever and spot starter, and he is showing signs of promise. We're reasonably confident that after a season with Pitching Coach Tabor Felix he'll be ready to join the top-half of our rotation.

Doug Gill may go down as "The Wally Pipp of the BLB" as his injury has brought about what we've delayed all season....
T.J. Knudson
OF - Drafted 1.2 (1995)
The pick that came from the now infamous Ivan Olivo deal... Knudson was named the #1 Prospect in the BLB in 1997 and continues to hold that honor today.
This season in AAA, Knudson has compiled a .953 OPS with impressive power numbers, burgeoning speed and he's currently playing flawless CF.
Many experts believe Knudson would be safe to go ahead and find an apartment in Williamsburg and sublet his place in Detroit (AAA).The Great One!
To many rings to count...

We were going to let TJ wear #2 in honor of his draft selection, but decided, as the originators of the "Gremades wearing #2" bit... we'd let it simmer.
Instead, in honor of the greatest young OF in Detroit Tigers' history... Knudson will be wearing #6.
And, in honor of the 'greatest' Denver owner in BLB history, I've always been partial to TJ "Don't Call Me Cutini" Knudson or TJ "Speedo" Knudson. The Great One!

We've had a lot of BLB debuts (at least it feels like it...), but here's a couple recent guys:
RP Hisashi Tanaka
OSA loves him. My last scout loved him. My new scout hates him, and has him as "major league filler." But, I'm optimistic about Tanaka, pick 1.15 from last year, who dominated AA and AAA over the last 12 months. In his first week in the BLB, Tanaka picked up a win and didn't give up a run over 6.0 innings in 4 appearances.
SS Yasuhiko Nakayama
Quite possibly the worst hitter the BLB has ever seen outside of Van Yan Stan Adel, Nakayama fields every position outside of pitcher and catcher at an 8 rating. As the worst defensive team in the BLB (at least the DL...but I assume the BLB), we'll take his potential sub .400 OPS in exchange for some help and flexibility in the field. We are also 36-55, so it's a little easier to see what he can do. OSA does have him at 5-5-2-4-4.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

SP - Travis "Old Nick" Fisher
1998 - AAA - 10-7, 3.04 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 104/28 K/BB
Fisher, the first pick in the 1996 draft will be making his debut this week.
The #2 overall prospect, (#1 Pitcher) Fisher has worked his way through the system quickly and will be taking over for the recently DFA'd Sergio Bela. While he may not exactly be ready, Fisher will be an upgrade to the rotation as the Kodiaks make a push for their first winning season since 1990.

Porter Division Champions: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000
Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004
