So we are slated to win the NOT VA championship yet again. I liked it better when we were expected to be terrible.

In the "They were so bad there's no other way but up" Category, I'll gladly boast that I have the greatest projected +/- in the win department with +8.

Not entirely sure how Pancho Alvarez isn't considered a key departure. He's been our RBI guy for a couple of seasons. We'd lose way more games without him. Oh well, I'm glad we have some improved pitching and I sure do wish I landed Curt Race along with Zander.

In other news, did anyone add more guys with two first names? We have three. Maybe it's on purpose.

Glad we're projected to have the 2nd best regular season record, but it's just a set up for the kick in the nuts prediction of getting beat by Hartford again.

What I thought was interesting is the top DL pitcher is a reliever, and the 3 Dallas pitchers on the list are all relievers. I thought the game doesn't really care about relievers/consider them in the top rankings?

That changed with this version change. Although, I guess this actually has more to do with the Statslab programming than the actual OOTP programming.

Statslab didn't choose top hitters or pitchers. That's OSA's doing.

The game took $5M out of my scouting budget (I budgeted $7.5M, I ended up with $2.5M) even though my projected balance was positive. Is that a glitch, or is the determining factor not really the "projected balance"?

I didn't get dinged on my player development budget, which supposedly is also impacted by a negative "projected balance".

You have $106 of $117 millions committed to Player and Staff Payroll. Did the total amounts you attempted to set exceed $11.0?

I attempted to set a scouting budget of $7.5M and a developmengt budget of $10M. (Well, first I attempted to set the development budget to $12.5M, but it kept changing to $10M. I eventually gave up.) So I know that would have put me over budget, but the game says the budgets will be reduced to 1/2 the league average if the "projected balance" is negative; and my projected balance with the $7.5M & $10M budgets was positive.

So does this mean that the budget; and not the "projected balance"; is the limiting factor?

If you only have $11.0 left in non-guaranteed money after Player and Staff commitments for the season, I don't see a scenario where the projected balance would be positive with the budgets set to $7.5 and $10.0.

Depends on how much he already had in the scouting and development budget.
