If I wasn't already cheating on this league with two other leagues (and potentially a third), I'd consider it.

I'm already forgetting that Ryan is my nemesis. Not good.

Honest question though, and I mean this in a "not to be a douche" way (apologies if you take it that way), but why not expand if there's interest?

I'd rather have 24 with a waiting list than 28 and no safety net. It just what makes sense.

I'm sure the NFL has the interest to support 40 team... doesn't mean 32 isn't the right size.

Not my decision but I'd like to see the league have 24 owners like me before expansion even happens.

By me I mean lifers. Obviously I'm not the only one, but some guys have been here for real life years and unless something catastrophic happened in their lives (like death by a pencil) then they ain't leaving.

I think we might have 24 guys ready to do that. It's been a little bit consistent this year. Kinda awesome. But still gotta see who really hangs on.

It's not an easy number to nail down. I have a list of 4 or 5 guys right now that I would blow through in a particular order when a team comes open. The thing is, the timing. If a team comes open today... the first guy on the list may be ready or it's not a good time (real life, etc.) so I move to #2.

Here's the thing also... there's a very vocal minority who brings up expansion from time to time... but there's never good reason WHY. What are we trying to introduce? We have 24 great owner. We've been getting 100% contributions and participations. If guys have to be away, they have owners who cover for them. We're running as smoothly as we ever have.

What do we gain by adding more teams?

More opportunity for missing owners...

More real life confllicts....

I want 24 guys who really, really care about operating their team. 24 guys who do... 3 who really are into it... and 1 who thought it would be fun but isn't that into it... that's a huge loss to me.

I know people think I'm being an asshat when I say "for the good of the league" but... to me... in the BLB... like nothing else I'm involved in... this league/team is only as strongest as its weakest link.

It's not like the list is full of "unproven" people, though...you have a few former GM's on the list.

As long as we're being honest, the chances of you getting back into this league are probably lower than expansion.

I agree with Clay. I'm in a league that's been around 12 real life years, we started in 2000. Now we are down to 21 human owners and 3 teams are in CPU control which sucks. You guys are in a good slot right now.
