Very interesting. I knew Jim was going to get tricky and I got that SP matchup right. He torched my BP though and Robinson looked like a bum. Tucker continues to prove he is not dead, stealing a win from Dimmick in game three. We are ready for game 6, do we have to wait until Friday?

                Just one really bad game.

You played pretty well against Morgan last time. No reason to think you couldn't do it again.

I'm not Clay, but I did see a few Holiday Inn commercials and the answer is: You cannot sign free agents until the free agency period begins.

As for Carolina, I think this explains a few things:

Son Dave Replaces Father as Carolina Tobs Owner
Saturday, October 11th, 1997: The Carolina Tobs are heavy-hearted and hurting today. The club announced today at a press conference held at Tobs Stadium that its owner Oscar Cantu had passed away, finally succumbing to a lengthy illness. The team's general manager released funeral arrangements and also announced the new owner. Dave Cantu is the new Carolina Tobs head man. According to the local media he has a reputation for being financially economizer and lenient in temperament.

Sorry, but we'll pass on the "win one for the gipper" sentiment.

Some trickery, some OOTP BS. I had Conley set for game 1, Dimmick game 2 and so on. I have no idea what happened that screwed that up. My only guess is when I changed things around, it was set on "next starter" as #5 or #6, which I didn't have, so it went to the BP instead. What sucks is I don't know if that changed things or not. I obviously would've rather had Dimmick or Conley in game 1 than one of my BP guys.

Sucks to be down 3-2, but hoping we can win 2 at home and take it in 7.

Never like going to a Game 6 and 7... but happy with where we are.

Pancho going 9 while pounding their bullpen (8 of 14 pitchers on BAT are at least slightly tired going into the off-day) in Game 5 means we really need to strike while we can and grab Game 6.

Baez ends up with a 2 week injury and should be available next series... if we're still alive.

                          Good times... good times....

So, half my team is on the DL and now my owner dies. Tough time to be a Tob. Luckily it'll all be over soon.

                            Shoulda called up Burns.

You mean the game when we have our ace on the mound and a chance to win the 3rd game of the series...and lose 18-0.
