Well, thanks to all you guys that voted for me to be GM of the Year. I'm surprised to actually win this, (I voted for Jim, Delandis and Clay) especially after our "reboot" trade block. We used a ton of different kids and had to make a few moves to get here. In all, a great year. Maybe the kids actually grow up and we get the best recognition for a team possible - a BLB Championship!

    Major Acquisitions - Gonzalez, Tucker
Gonzalez was great early on but just didn't swing the bat like I had hoped he would. Tucker was a man! He might be the best pitcher on my team.

Minor Acqusitions - Barnes, Kifle Al-Sadat

They may have only been role players but they were great! Barnes is not a typical leadoff hitter but it was where he liked to hit and Sadat put together a great second half hitting in the two hole.

Home-grown talent- Simmons, Alvarez, Adams, Claudio, Aparicio

Alvarez waited until the playoffs to hit, but he looked unstoppable. Simmons was decent all around. Adams and Aparicio looked good in limited action and Claudio was a stud all year long. All of these kids were from my first draft class of '94. We still watch 2B Todd Burley(Cali)...
    L.A. Dinos GM since '94
    Lager Champs - '97, '99, '01, '07, '08, '09 '10 '11, '12
    BLB Champs- '08

Think this needs to be a rule.

Also, needed to be added at the end of each one: "you like me, you REALLY, REALLY like me"

I voted for you as well, although I may consider going the Z route next time.

How did Artie Clemons get a first place vote and Rangel was left off the ballot? Did the person not see the pitchers down at the bottom?

How any DL hitter got a ROY vote is beyond me.

Award Winners go in game this SIM. Since HAL picks the DWI Winners, I always just use the ASK COMPUTER option for all of the awards and then adjust our voted on winners accordingly. THis year, just for shiggles, I thought I'd post HALS picks for the big three that get picked:

                            DL Stout Slugger
                            Sau
                            Durham
                            Cavadas

                            IL Stout Slugger
                            Chavez
                            Morgan
                            Maeda

                            DL Pale Ale
                            Dimmick
                            McCormick
                            Torres

                            IL Pale Ale
                            Pancho
                            Jenkins
                            Hautborg

                            DL New Brew
                            Marrero
                            Rosado
                            Daugherty

                            IL New Brew
                            Duarte
                            Maekawa
                            BEtts

The IL New Brew was the only one that HAL matched our voting exactly.

                            Anyway... good times.

I love that McKormick was a contender for the Pale Ale. The wins and saves he racked up were phenomenal. I will be changing my stance on voting for my own players in the future.

It's kind of understood in the BLB that the Pale Ale is for Starters and the LC is for relievers. The game doesn't see it that way.
