Wow, what a SIM! We win 5 meaningless games and get a delayed diagnosis on our #1 draft pick from the most recent draft - Out 12 months with a torn labrum. Outstanding!
I can't believe we're continuing to hang around with this ragtag bunch.
I also can't believe the season Gene Crews is having. Give him those ABs he lost to injury at the beginning of the season and you'd have an interesting Stout Slugger race on your hands in the DL.

Happy to lock up Gus Jenkins to what we feel will be a very team friendly deal during his prime years (31-36). Jenkins has been exceptional for us this year and we feel he has a legit shot at taking home the IL Pale Ale. As a bonus, the extension grabbed us a +3 bump in Fan Interest.

The Colonials will only expand to 26 in September choosing only to bring prospect Jody Richards back up at this point.
With the Stout well in hand, the Colonials will opt to play out the string in a 6-man rotation allowing newly anointed Top Play Ivan Borojquez to get 5-6 starts before season's end. He has been an AMAZING #1 MR for us all season, but deserves at least a look going into next year.
Our September schedule is a mixed bag. We have home series against Indianapolis and Syracuse in a week, but then we follow that up with a road trip to Los Angeles and Los Lunas.
On the bright side, at least we'll have a chance to make up ground in those two series.
And those teams have three series left against one another, so maybe they'll beat each other up.
Best rated defense in baseball. 2nd best ERA in the IL. 20 games under .500. Pitching and defense don't win anything.
Jerry Williams was the IL Pitcher of the month. Cleared waivers, no interest from anyone. We'll look to possibly move him in the off season as the first of our "Big 5" prospects will have his first season with us. Slowly these others are going to have to go.
Our record in 1 run games is now a sizzling 12-26. Our PYT is at -8, by far the worst in the league. We're gonna see if we can make it -10 by October.

With the cap ending this year we are allowed to sign up to what our owners budget is correct?
I have not tried to start signing guys cause I want to try to fully understand it. So my owner says the projected '98 budget is 108 and change. So two questions...
1. Will the game as of right now allow us to sign guys so that our budget exceeds 100 million in future years? what I'm trying to ask will the game allow us to sign contracts that take our future payrolls abover 100 million? is it aware it does not need to keep the payroll at 100 million or less?
2. We are making these signings based on projected budgets for next year. So what would happen if I sign guys up to the threshold of 108 million cause that's what's projected but after this season where we sucked the owner drops the budget to 102 million?
The financials are something I'm still struggling to totally grasp so any feeback would be helpful. thanks guys.

We won't be turning off the CAP until the off-season, so you won't be able to spend above $100.0 until then anyway.
