I really thought I had the advantage in the rotation matchup. Well played, sir. Well played...

HAHAHAHAHA! I owe you, Funclown, Diesel, Matt, Delandis, Clay...most of the elders credit for my record. This team would be all across the BLB if you guys hadn't told me to shut up and wait. I highly doubt we actually win the WC the rest of the decade...but it was fun to talk shit for a sec.

I don't think "get off my lawn" is sage advice from an elder. Jistic is just crusty. ;)

Denver has the Top Organizational Ranking in Starting Pitching (that means all players under 25 at all levels) and is 2nd in Overall Ranking (all players in all levels).

It really doesn't feel that way...though I guess all of my under-25 starting pitchers with any promise (save Gerard) are in AAA. I don't really envision many of them showing that once they make the show for good.

2nd in Organizational Ranking for catchers and 1st in 2B (5th Overall) makes a lot of sense.

Too bad we suck everywhere else.

I'm glad we were able to go on a bit of a run before Virginia blows into town. But I'm pissed at our fans. Attendance has been down 17% the entire season. If they show up to watch the Colonials I'm burning the place down!

You're not using an accurate number. You're 39,000+ avg attendance for last year factors in Playoffs, but still only does the total against 81 home games. So, any team that makes a deep playoff run, is going to have an attendance total in many cases much greater than their capacity. For example, my AVG was like 2000 more than my capacity.

That being said... we're coming to town... Chavez is back... and we're pissed.

yea we can't score since he got hurt. It was time through since he gave me two healthy seasons which is pretty good for a guy whose career is based on injuries.

                              Yeah I guess I can't say we're down 17%, yet. But we're definitely down 8% - 11%. I was consistently putting 36,000 - 37,000 in the seats last year. We're only doing 33,000 on average this season.

Forgot to mention I was in TX this week, near Arlington. I passed on Rangers vs Diamondbacks and drove up to Frisco for some AA Texas League action (Roughriders vs Corpus Christi Hooks). I had been to Dr Pepper Ballpark before. Beautiful park. They've made a few more improvements since.

I've already written off the next three games. I'm hoping the umps will enforce the mercy rule early on, or maybe we'll get three rainouts in the 5th.

4-2 for the week and just 3 games behind Batavia as we head down the final stretch.

Our offense looks like its waking back up just in time for the playoffs. As impressive as the sweep of Morgantown was, losing 2 to Windy City was equally unimpressive. After starting the year so well, Zander Walters has lost all confidence has been nothing short of HORRIBLE lately.

Youngsters, Antonio Trujillo and Pat Marlin both had HUGE weeks this past week. Also the time has finally come for Gremades to finally come back after recovering a concussion in early May. Its also time to make a late push for that Porter crown and show Funclown and Clay they might as well stop praying for a late season collapse from the Bulldogs this year.
