2B Dave Rictchason wins IL Player of the Week. It's been a disappointing season overall for the 22 year old rookie, but mostly because he missed 2 months due to injury. Hoping for a strong finish to the season and some growth as we look towards next year.

        4-3 is okay.

Soto continues to pitch well but took a loss in a well-pitched game.

Brode had a very solid two starts this past week, but lost one of those games 1-0.

Garcia was claimed from Windy City and has been very good for us in three starts. 1-1, 2.35 ERA. Of course two of those starts have been against the Pilsner basement. A win is a win.

Our bullpen now has the 3rd best ERA in the DL. Love those young arms in the pen, and to think that Soto is now in the rotation. We've already locked up Mens, Stewart, Rodriguez and Gerard. Anticipating the future promotions of our top prospect Zach Hodges (AA), and the recently drafted 3rd round pick Eddy Hernandez who is mauling them down in A ball.

Tufts is on fire raising his average to .290. Meanwhile Sinclair had a horrid July.

I'm sure you replace a guy with a 1.7 VORP rather easily. If Carmen stays healthy & Pitt keeps struggling you might have a shot.

Pawtucket 3-4. Just battling the Ale as best we can.

Had some close deadline deals (actually 3), but one pulled out, one I backed from and another just peetered out.

DL Wilcard race is looking wide open now. Should be fun to watch.

3-4 including 1-3 vs. Batavia. Rex is heating up and I'm expecting a big August from him. Just two more weeks until the return of our offense (aka Gremades) after 4 months off for post-concussion symptoms. Couple that with a 1 month injury to Wouters in Batavia, now is our time to 'carpe diem' and stop those pesky Bandits from taking our spot at the last minute.

4-3 in the Ale on the road. Managed to open up another 2 games on Pitt. We'll take it.

Wildcard right now between Pitt, LA, LL, and Maine is interesting.

Yeah, with Sandoval starting to finally hit, I might actually have an upgrade there.

Still, I can't help but mourn another injured Guide.

For those keeping score at home, we've now suffered 22 injuries or setbacks this year.

Fixed, but I guess maybe you can include LA also.
