6-1. Alex Martinez with two nice starts to stretch his win total to 11, and Christian Negron keeps chugging along with 5 HR last week. He now leads the BLB with 28 after closing out the week with a 2-run game-winning HR, his 4th hit of the game, in the bottom of the 11th against Syracuse.

3-3. Our pitching has been very solid this year, but (SP) Lonnie Fowler has his 2nd season ending injury in two years and that could hurt big time. Lets see how the 21 year old, Derek Vleugel does in his place.
* Swapped out my #5 SP this SIM moving Boehmer to the 'pen and bringing Kim back to the rotation. Kim was decent in his first start only surrendering 2 hits, but he did walk 6.
* Not going to complain about a guy hitting .380 and likely in the Stout Slugger race, but Hector Chavez' power outage this season is troubling. I think he missed Woodbury's bat behind him.
* BA #1 Prospect TJ "Speedo" Knudson is starting to put it together at 20 in AA. His average is not there yet, but 5 HRs this week (16 on the season between A and AA) makes me think he may be closer to a '99 BLB Rookie versus the '01-'02 that I felt he was coming out of HS.
Raul Soto is pitching lights out right now. Glad I decided to send him back to the rotation. My apologies to those that expressed interest in him.
Chad Sinclair is having a rough stretch, but Cy Gray did come back to the BLB and produced this week. He struggled early, went back to AAA, crushed the ball there and glad he's taking that up with him.
Next up is Carmen Roes. Still want to see how he hits this month - make sure he's not just riding a hot streak, but he's beginning to crush the ball in AAA. He took a slight hit when I moved him to 1B permanently. He's not a catcher and I'm not going to bring him up as one, but I'll hide him at 1B for sure since Sinclair is my DH until he hurts himself on the basepaths. Then I'll just swallow the fact he's Josh Hamilton.
Made a mistake and left Garcia out of the rotation. He did great out of the pen, but didn't want Wentzel to take the start. He did not do well.
Ivan Olivo is officially back. He wasn't a starter and he had to regain his confidence last year when I sent him back to being a closer. Now he's comfortable. 6 Ks in 3 appearances. All saves. I saw some gave him ASG votes. He deserved some rec.
If only Gabaldon can hit like this all year. He's a great defender. I just don't know if he's really a .270 hitter. Would be nice.
2-7 Since the break. Messed up my rotation (was set at 5 versus 6), but in the end pitching was not the issue as the offense is really in a funk now.
Keep plugging along. Nago going to get some innings coming up. Lets see if all that rehab did him some good. What's the over under and his next injury?

No real competition so far at least in the IL. Los Alamos is quietly trying to make a run. We are holding on by a thread to this last spot and I do not doubt it will get tight down the stretch. We've got a pen that plays big time and I think we are one starter away from being a legit contender. A Shitty return will help out big time for that last push in September.
And no offense to Carolina, but I'm not sure if we are ready to face you in the first round.
