The Jimmy Neuharth train just keeps on rolling. He has still never pitched less than 7 innings and never given up more than 3 runs. Incredible. ERA down to 2.64 and moves to 9-4 for my crappy team. We take bright spots where we can get 'em.

Colon responded very well to being the 29th man on the All-Star Team. Suck it IL All Star Managers and your inability to count to 28!

Fun week. Batavia and Carolina on the road feels like a Playoff SIM.

Pawtucket 9 straight wins. Ummmm, chemistry?

"Checkmate" called up to AAA and lit a fire under the pitching staff?

Robby Griggs also seems to like Pawtucket. Most righty pull hitters do.

The Ale boys will be us in our place the next go around, but nice to see we still have something left in the tank.

All-Star SP Raul Carillo improves his record to 6-2 | 1.85 ERA in 13 GS with a 7 IP | 5 H | 5 K performance against MOR, but injures himself in the process and will be out for 2 months.

Well, it's that time of the year. Putting several vets on DFA. If anyone wants 'em, have at 'em. If not, I'll eat their salary, I guess.

Just gonna rock it with the young guys. Take the losses and picks up some picks.

Was really hoping McCarthy would help us but now he's acting like a little bitch and complaining. Jonah, welcome to the DFA, sir.

Finally a deal with Pawtucket that doesnt leave me in need of Preparation H. Marve Barnes has been crushing the ball since his arrival. I had no idea putting Dusty Simmons at #4 would pan out so well. Kel Brown even found his stroke. Combined they hit 10 HRs and around .360. I guess they were waiting for the All-Star voting to end.

Despite going 4-2 we are not satisifed. We lost 2 at home to Pitt and swept Indy. The pitchers and hitters are taking weekly turns either being really good, or really bad. Even Torres looked like a turd this week. Turning a bad team into a winner is tough. I expect this race to go down to the wire again this year.

I was surprised when Barnes hit so poorly in PAW. I guess it was The Clown Curse.

Check my right field. I underestimated the effect. Learned alot past few seasons.
With that, I'm not unhappy with Griggs. Pull hitting do well here, plus he's only 26.
