If I could physically get Dusty Simmons and Johnathon Morris to sit in front of me you would hear the cursing from your homes. We've sent a ton of prospects and picks away to build this. But in the grand scheme of things it wasn't that hard. There will always be players falling out of grace or underdeveloped players looking for a shot. So yes, I would reboot. Hell, if we ever expanded, I might give them up to start a team no one has ever touched before. The Vancouver Virgins? hmmm
4-2 sim. The most balanced team I have had since I took over. Usually pitching is our downfall (and it may be yet this year) but guys like Ollie Kane and Rhett Erickson have been phenominal (both have ERA's under three.) Curt Goodwin came in and got a nice win going 6 2/3 giving up 2 ER.
BP had been stronger than expected this year and I believe it's cause my SP are goin longer which means Oleslager, Murdock and Diaz get almost all the BP innings.
I have lost a lot of offensive talent since I got here (Scott, Shitty, Guzman, Negron) but we seem to find FA guys who can come in and be effective (see: Negron, O'fallon, Craig). Not sure which crashes first, offense or defense but I can guarntee only one if either can keep up the torrid pace set in the first half (Tied with Batavia for 3rd best record in BLB).
We got embarrassed by Virginia after taking 2 of 3 from Baltimore. I'm not sure what to do with this team at the moment. I guess I have some assets should I choose to make a move, but I don't know what that move should be or if it's just to stay the course and wait for reinforcements from the minors. We certainly aren't beating the Colonials in our current form. As always, if you're looking to deal, I've got some pieces on the farm that could probably help someone in a rebuild.
But, combine our BLB results with some more minor league injuries, and there's not much to like about this sim.
A few weeks back I was in KC on business, and the Client took me to Chappels Restaurant and Sports Museum. I couldn't believe the memorabilia in this place, including this little gem.
The owner is usually around and he likes to give short guided tours. Obviously there's a lot of KC Royals and KC Chiefs items (he has and wears an actual KC Superbowl ring that was given to him by the team). But I lost count of the number of autographed items from the likes of Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Satchel Page, etc.

Ryan does fancy himself the first owner to push for integration.

I knew I wanted the team to be somewhere in Indiana, so I googled Indiana baseball, and the story of the Clowns came up. Read up on them, thought it was cool, and a Legend was born.
