I'll check Carlos' book to see how many times Pale Ale winners have matched up in the season following their wins.

    Oh yeah...

    Anyway, appointment viewing for sure.

Do you have every single box score in league history?

5-2 sim against the division. Lost 1 game to Hartford in the division race but my guys know we are playing for the WC. Pitching has been suprisingly good and I'm assuming its cause we have been on the road alot. But we keep on moving forward. Not as flashy as some of the teams I had in recent years but they're grinders.

            I figured. That's too bad.

Would have been cool to start a project to input every box score into a database or something. And use it to figure out things like:

Has anyone ever had a five hit game with two doubles, a triple and two home runs while driving in only two runs?!

After being a doormat for the last few seasons, it's nice to be 18-4 against our division at this early point.

This game is 98% Team Building and 2% strategy. Once you have it, don't mess with it.

Like a Manager in real world baseball - the impact of a great versus mediocre gameplan strategist is maybe worth a +/- 2-5 wins at most.

If you play outfield for DC, you will get hurt.

For Joe Girardi, it feels closer to 4-8 wins.

Girardi is a -6 to +2. Jim Leyland is a -0.5 to +0.5 he just lays there like a virgin on prom night. Joe Maddon is probably having the biggest risk/reward impact on a team. Goes for it...but...goes for it.

Joe Maddon also benefits from an incredible front office and developmental system.

But yeah, anyone getting a 26-18 performance from a team batting Carlos Pena at leadoff and Drew Sutton at cleanup is surely some sort of evil wizard.
