My starters have the 2nd best ERA in the IL. More proof that ratings don't mean a whole hell of a lot. Time to dust off the trade block if they keep this up!

        Die, Los Lunas.

6-1 sim. So far Julian Ramirez has been a nice little Rule V find. The offense continues to be great. RJ Curtis continues to be a boss. It's a beautiful sight seeing the postgame party spill out of Henry Byrd Field out onto Bourbon Street after nearly every home game. At least until the next morning when they hose down all the vomit.

The FA signing in 12 is frustrating. I noticed it a little bit during actual FA period but but it's been ridiculous during the season.

I have tried to sign a guy for 4 SIMS now and i don't know how to get it done.

Sim 1 he asked for 1 yr. 650,000. So I agreed and offered.

Sim 2 he asks me to submit the same offer to make sure I want to offer him.

Sim 3 he says I did not offer him enough money even though I agreed to what he asked for. So he says no to 1 yr. 650,000 but is looking for 1 yr. 650,000

Sim 4 I double the offer cause Im just trying to sign the guy and he says no 1 yr. 1.25 cause the deal he is looking for is 1 yr. 1.25

            what the Fuck!?

              SIM 5 - Baltimore Bulldogs (35-16)

              2-1 at CHI
              3-1 vs PHI

A 5-2 week with a chance to go 6-1 if the bullpen didn't blow a game in Chicago. We finish the month of May 21-7, which was the best record in the BLB over that period. We still look pretty good despite the loss of Gremades and the kid from Japan keeps on truckin'.

              THE GOOD

Yoshi's Story: I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be where we are right now if we had not picked up Kazayoshi Maekawa from the Rule V draft(sorry Tom). The kid even displayed a little power this week, going yard twice as part of his .517 OBP and 9 RBI.

              An Unexpected Bonus:
We get a lot of pub for our offense, but our pitching is actually pretty darn good as well. We are 1st in strikeouts in the IL and for the first time in a while, our team ERA is below 4.00. Zander Walters has been unbelievable for us, as he goes 7+ innings for the 3rd straight game last week. He has only allowed one earned run over the three game stretch.

              THE BAD

I really don't have much to complain about.

              INJURIES

We steered clear of any major injuries this week. However, Danny Morales (MR) did show some elbow inflammation last week and he will be out for a week.

              ON THE FARM

              Tanner Bangle
our #1 pitching prospect in Camden (AA) went 2-0 with 13.2 IP with 14 Ks, and just 1 BB.

Oscar Lerma (1B/2B) was our 3rd round pick in 1995. He just got a nice little bump according to our scout. If he learns to play 2nd base over the next couple of years, I'll be very happy with our infield for the new millennium.

              NEXT UP:
We now play 7 straight within the division in a week that could give either breathing room or anxiety. The first 4 games are at home (2 vs. CAL and 2 vs. BAT) then we head to Philly for 3 at D. D. Eisenhower Field.

I told you two seasons ago you had the best rotation. It just took a bit for them to realize it.

That must've been someone else. Not these scrubs. In 8-10 years there's a chance but not these placeholders.

It was you but you denied it then too. To be fair, you also traded away one of your premier pitchers from that staff.

Burns just got moved up to AAA and hopefully he isn't going down. He certainly isn't coming up. Adrian Iturriaga is more than capable of pitching in the BLB if I want to keep 6 men in the rotation, though he could just as easily come out of the pen. Joey Bridges isn't doing too bad for himself in AAA at the moment either. Both those guys are getting pissy about being in AAA as it is.

We'll be ok, though Mendez was the closest thing to an ace that I've got. If someone would like to trade me one, I could potentially be persuaded into making a move.

Worst week of "baseball" we've played since I took over. The Dukes ate our lunch and raped our women. I don't typically throw in the towel very early, but we've been performing out of character since the get go. I'm starting to think our fate is sealed for this season.
