    Mendieta is a potential beast by my scout's analysis. He has him at nearly 6's across the board. I doubt he reaches that potential but his ceiling is similar to that of Francois St. Laurent on my squad. Really happy to pluck him. Felt like a got lucky with SP Pat Nuse who was probably the only guy left in the draft that I think can be a starter. He's a few years away though.

    So far, I'm pretty happy with the draft.
    I too would be happy getting a guy with a career high school record of 7-17 and a 5.96 ERA.

            I plan on slow-playing him at single-A Stone Harbor for 5 years before his OSA ratings bump to 8-8-8.

              Good plan. It sounds like you really struck gold with that pick I sent your way. Congrats.

              I selected an injured pitcher with my 3rd round pick. But, I like his stuff and he throws pretty hard for an 18 year old with some good pitches according to my scout. He also went to my high school, so there's that.

                I had considered taking Gonzalez with my previous pick, so I'm thrilled to get him here. I like his upside a lot.

                      I see what you did there.

                      Gonzalez played at the college level last year though. He wasn't playing against 15 year olds.

                      Also, your last pick has a very low work ethic, too.
