  • Reasonably happy with my first two picks, given that I was # 19 in the rotation. I've just thrown 40+ names into the draft list based on stats. Once that list is exhausted, it's time to put Mr. Fluffles and his magic litter box to work.

    • Went with Angelo Munguia in the 3rd.

Passed on a guy I liked, but who wouldn't really have a home in our system. Munguia is lazy as shit, but one of the last guys in the draft that OSA really likes - 5-8-7-5-4. Decent fielder, great arm from the OF. He'll probably never get there, but it was worth a shot here.

Maybe your glowing review of him will inspire him to get his ass in gear?

Yeah? Is he going to take him for a ride?

              • The best hitter is still available according to a complex algorithm only Jim Bowden and Brian Sabean share.

Did your scout happen to mention that right after MIS took the #2 hitter off his board that you were on the clock?

Based on his first statement, would you believe anything his Scout said?

At first I was disappointed because I figured someone else nabbed him.

Now I'm like cool, let's see how bad he ends up being.

Mendieta is a potential beast by my scout's analysis. He has him at nearly 6's across the board. I doubt he reaches that potential but his ceiling is similar to that of Francois St. Laurent on my squad. Really happy to pluck him. Felt like a got lucky with SP Pat Nuse who was probably the only guy left in the draft that I think can be a starter. He's a few years away though.

So far, I'm pretty happy with the draft.

                            • Ended up with another international reliever with Neal. Should be pretty good, but we're going to have a log jam in our bullpen.
