Eh. I'm totally lost this draft. Took two MR's in the top 15 picks. Just not comfortable with anyone else and I think I'm getting close to sure bets.
Probably should have taken Suarez at 1.12 and then nabbed one of these at 1.15, but I never claimed to be smart.Charlotte Knights - OSFL

I like Washington's pick of Jobe a lot. He was the next guy in line on my draft list when my pick came up, if I remember correctly. Just a solid all around player who should be a good top of the order hitter. I think he'll be able to play CF pretty well, or continue to be excellent in left.
As for my pick, we took SS Ruben Velasquez from the Dominican Republic. I have a general policy of not taking internationals highly in the draft, but this draft is littered with them at the top from what my scout sees. Velasquez was #1 on my scout's list and we'll gamble that he can become an everyday SS, which is a rare commodity in this league. If I had been around more lately, I probably would have taken Jobe, since I just like feeder league guys more.Washington Bats, 2013-

Should I be afraid that my #1 hitter is still on the board?

I know other people like it, but I absolutely can't stand this "distribution" of talent, if it's actually there. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
No real life draft, save for the 1933 NFL draft, the 1987 BLB Draft, or the 2012 Bikini Hockey League draft, would have so many differing opinions on who would be top 5-10 picks.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
