SO.... Indy.... if you want to announce the pick when you know it (if it's before we start tomorrow)... feel free... then I can fire it if it doesn't fire on its own.

No rush though. You get the full clock.
Indy selects SS Jimmy Hackett, from Oklahoma University. OSA hates him, scout loves him.

I've made some big changes to my draft process this year, so it'll be interesting to see how this shapes up. Decided to steer clear of all International players with the first pick. Some good looking players, but I've been burned to many times before, and honestly there was only one, maybe two players ahead of Hackett, again, according to my scout.

Looking through the draft history... pretty interesting to me that this is Indy's very first #1 overall pick. Impressive for an expansion team.

        Damn straight.

Just too bad it had to come this yeah. What an awful pool at the top.

I'm already intrigued by this draft. Not who I expected to go #1 overall. Top five guy.

My scout likes him ok, nice safe pick. There may be hope for my draft this year after all.

Yeah I don't know, this may be one of those drafts where we dont know what we have for a year or so. For me, the International guys throw things off a bit. Big gambles there.

I am torn between two players. Will probably decide before I go to bed if the utility is going.

Based on that first pick and the heavy international presence, this draft is going to be a circus. And I don't think it's quite as bad as everyone says it is.

Did not expect Hackett to go first but I like him. Not the player I want. The next two picks better not take my boy.

I'm going to go bat shit crazy going back and forth on my next pick. Every one of these guys has a fatal flaw, IMO. I'll post it soon.

Even more impressive: five rings after multiple #1 overall picks.

I've picked #1 once (Nate Magness)

I picked #2 once... but I traded up for that pick (with Pawtucket).

I owe my 5 rings to the draft, but not to #1's.
