I have the Doorbell sweepstakes down to two teams.

One is a no-brainer for them and the other team because they have an excess budget to blow.

I expect Woodbury to end up somewhere no one is expecting. I haven't looked at everyone's money post-ARB yet, but I think he goes somewhere strange. Baltimore makes the most sense and they can pay a ton. But I think a lot of the longtime owners will be scared to pay too much for a guy that age.

I think Shitty may be the hidden gem. He'd be a great addition in Hartford. Place setter for Castor and Sau to knock in.

I expected to be dipping the toe in FA a bit this season, but I feel like my team may be good to go as is. Daly comes back and a seasoned Barajas and Gill take the corners in the new Logo-less era. May shop FA for a 4th OF.

I was going to shop FA for Closers and experiment with a BP full of Closers... But I'm thinking of a new plan now. McGinnis walks and leaves a hole in the SU spot, but I'm thinking Gray may develop enough to take it over.

I love Hidalgo. I think he outplays McCarthy, so no need to shop for C's.

I may trade a Starter though.

I haven't considered who might sign who. Hardly ever works out that way anyway because someone always scoops in to surprise the team that thought the contract was locked in.

I think Woodbury will be worth the money for half the contract. I'd argue he'd be underpaid and then overpaid. It's a tough decision but for a team on the brink, could be huge for now if they can stomach the blow later.

He's got 2 more years tops. I expect someone to offer him an extemely backloaded contract at 3-4 years and take the gamble that he retires or that the CAP going away won't be an issue.

It'll be sad to see him in a new Uni, but, I'd be willing to gamble that he's won his last title.

That's an interesting direction. Gamble on retirement. Very possible. I still think it's rather ridiculous that guys retire during a contract, but that's on OOTP to fix.

Retirement is certainly flawed. Didn't Carillo just accept ARB and then retire? What a dick move.

People around here have been gambling on retirement around here for years.

Raul's still around. He'll be at the back end of our rotation this season. Must have been another Carrillo that retired. Either that or there are multiple versions of the league file on the street.

Yep, that was the Batavia version that retired, BUT, the game is recycling their player ID's it appears. They no longer show up as retired players. That's a pretty big deal.

Its only suppose to recycle IDs of players who never make the Pros. Is it recycling everyone?

Ben Irvin and L. Tesina don't exist anymore. I'd say it's recycling everyone.

That sucks balls. Oh well, that's the gamble of a quick version change.

Wow, some of these pitchers wants crazy deals. For some reason the hitters seem more inline.

Doorbell's contract demand considering isnt that bad versus his production. The pitchers can go to hell.
